OT - Diego Rivera Exhibit in Detroit

Was in downtown Detroit last weekend and had the opportunity to go through the Detroit Institute for the Arts and see the Diego Rivera exhibit. I had no idea this mural even existed, so interesting discovery for me.

Commissioned with a donation by Edsel Ford in 1932 the fresco murals depict (among other things) the River Rouge Ford plant where you can see V8s being assembled as well as frame assembly.

Being an engineer, I admire the almost engineering drawing quality of the art work.

Runs through July 12, so hurry if you want to see the special exhibit.

A great work of art, for sure! Thanks for posting. Lots of stuff to see in and around Detroit, despite their problems.
