Marc, that's a slippery slope down to 'file' storage...
... but I digress, had a great hike this am, will post a 'where am I' pic.

I hear ya, Nice weather. Wife and I just got back from my mom's 100th birthday party in central MN.
After first day on the road, got stuck at the Missouri River at Chamberlain SD with an injector issue. Started to miss after visiting the Corn Palace in Mitchell, a couple of hours east.
Lucky a Ford dealer local to live diagnose as the #2 injector shooting too much fuel. No injectors at the dealer or the local Napa Auto, so we had to order one from Napa for the next day delivery.
Ford tech offered to let me work on the truck on his lot but I had my tools and replaced the injector in the local Days Inn parking lot. Hotel owner picked it up from Napa and delivered it to me after I had pulled the bad one out while waiting for the delivery.
Got on the road the following day, went to Wall Drug, Badlands, and Mt Rushmore that afternoon. Ended up in Casper WY, enjoying a great big thunder and lighting storm just to the north. What beautiful country!
Next say went down to Rawlings, on to Rock Springs, Evanston, Heber City, Provo, and followed 89 to I 70 over to I 15 and stopped at St George for the night, 740 miles later.
The last leg home was a snap and back by 3 p.m.
Thinking I might start carrying an extra injector with me. Not like changing out a plug!
Nothing like carrying my tools and accessories just in case.
My work area.
Always carry my Harbor Freight step stool, just in case.
A couple hours to remove, a couple more to put back together.
Could have used an injector brush.

Good thing you brought tools with you for emergency. I probably would go nuts, and then blame my old lady for breaking my truck.

Thanks 00X,
Since I was driving then, kinda hard to blame her for it.
The kit that I carry has my torque wrenches, 3/8 and 1/2, bungee cords, plus everything from vice grips, water pump pliers, drum brake tools, torn bits, rtv, antii seize, silicone grease, zip ties, cotter pins, 2 magnetic extensions, and JB Weld. Even having my 3/8" socket set and adapters with my metric deep sockets were a must. I even have a fine chain with a treble hook tied to the end...never know!
It would be interesting to hear of the unusual items you guys have in your "carry along" tool box?
All worked pretty well too, when fixing a John Deere riding mower a few weeks earlier.
Plus my parts trays for everything else as seen below.

Got busy with the 100 mile hiking awards today...
Will need to do some fancy patch-work on the holy ones.
