Clifford Performance Upgrade 223
I am upgrading my 55 F100 from the Holley one barrel to the 2 barrel and manifold from Clifford Performance. (Also the headers). This carburator accepts a cable throttle assembly. How does this connect to the stock gas pedal? Do I need to get a different pedal? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

If the carb accepts a cable linkage, it should also take a mechanical one just as easy. Not being familiar with the 55 throttle linkage, or what carb you plan to use, it's difficult to advise further. It depends on which way the levers push or pull. This is one of those things where fab skills and imagination come in real handy. Keep us posted and share what you decide as you go. It could help others in the future.

Success!
I used the original throttle pedal and linkage. Got some threaded 1/4" steel from the HW store and some linkage mounts that thread onto the threaded steel, cut the steel to length and voila! Works great very simple. The Clifford manifold for the 223 straight six is in line with the old linkage. Nice stout connection with full range of motion.
