2010 Mountaineer - A/C

Starting to blow a little warm, around 45DegF at the vent on an 82DegF day,
and generally feels a little warm and humid.

I bought a good quality recharge kit with pressure gauge.

What vent temp and system pressure should I be targeting?

Thanks!!

45 degrees is not too bad. Run the truck in the driveway with AC on full blast. See if the compressor cycles on and off too often. You can also put the gauge on the fill port and see what the pressure is with AC running. You should have about 35 psi on the low side. It is a good idea to know the hi side pressure also... but after 5 years you might assume you just lost a pound of gas. If your pressure is 20-30 psi , you could just add a can and see how that works......... the gauge will be marked with 35 psi in the green range....... normally 25 is "lo" and 45 is to "high".

It took an entire can. Started at below 20 and ended up almost 25psi
