4" vs 5" Straight Pipe

Hey guys. Buying an 06 6 liter tomorrow that was studded and deleted at the dealer along with a bunch of other work Buying it from the original owner. First thing I'll be doing is a straight pipe, but I can't decide. I've heard only 4" really in person. Some people say the 4 is more grumbly than the 5? If anyone has recommendations or videos comparing them please post them. Looking at a diamond back 5" (pretty cheap) or an MBRP 4". Thanks

The DEALER did delete work? What did they delete? If it was emissions deleting then that is rare. I cant find anybody here in Yakima, WA that will do delete work, that is reputable at least, everyone tells me that I have to do it myself.

I had the 3.5" down pipe with 4" straight pipe cat back on my '04 6.0L PSD, and I had it dumped out before the passenger rear tire. It was VERY loud, and got everyones attention just idling in parking lots, or cruising the town. For me this was the best route.

my diamond eye 4" system came with a 4" downpipe. was tight, and had a factory-made clearance dimple in one spot, but it fit.

I would personally, never buy diamond eye again in my life. Not to say every item they have is bad, but i had a bad experience with their pipes not being flared enough, sucked to put it together, and get it to fit well enough to not rub on the transmission fill tube.

I got the 4" dp to 5" straight, not incredibly loud, most straight pipe NA v8s are louder. i did have to scrape at my firewall a bit for the down pipe, and drink a few beer inbetween or else i would have threw it in the scrap bin

I went with Banks 4" straight piped...it's loud as hell. People comment on it all the time. Getting the down pipe removed was a PITA but install was pretty straight forward.
