Stowline truck caddy

This behind the seat storage caddy was available from Ford's accessory catalog. My dad had one that he ordered from Ford. Are these rare? I am restoring a 1978 F150 Ranger and would like to find one.

You mean this? The last pic is an Outers Stowline...gun type storage still available thru most outdoor type stores.

69-71 truck folks might have one. Other you are looking for a bucket of gold hens teeth. lol

My understanding of this was that it was an option for trucks without incab gas tanks, which in itself wasn't very common.

My 1978 F150 does not have a behind the cab tank. I do not believe it was even available other than in a cab and chassis in that vintage. It would be nice to find one. Neat and handy.

Thank you. I have a few friends that work in salvage yards. I will have them keep a look out too. My dad was a Ford dealer in the 70s-90s and he had one on display in the parts room. I sure wish I could go back in time. I love the old trucks and memories.
