Gas tank welding??

My uncle has a 52 Mercury 1 ton truck that almost finished being restored and he's decided to put the gas tank from behind the seat to the drivers side, near the frame he has a gas tank from a 88 GMC 1/2ton and needs the one end of the tank shortened and I tried to give him other ideas about where to put the gas tank but the stubborn old fart has his mind that the tank will be chopped and put THERE!!!
I was wondering if anybody knew of a business that does this kind of mod, in the Calgary area or even the Red Deer area
thank you

Vance

Phone Stirling auto (403-340-0306) and ask Ray if he knows someone in Red Deer.
