Advice for fabricating new control arm mount 2006 escape
Crashed into a ditch and screwed up the front passenger side of the car. Control arm was bent pretty severely, you can see it compared to the brand new one in the pictures below. I was trying to bend the mount from the subframe back into position and broke off part of the mounting. Trying to figure out the best way to fix this. I am worried the existing mount is bent.
Was thinking of just cutting off the braket that is welded on for the front bolt of the control arm and making a new one and welding it on, but I am having trouble determining what angle and position it should be since there is no point of reference!
Do you have any other ideas of how to fix this or suggestion?! Thanks!
Broke off part of this, not sure if it is straight however because I had trouble even screwing the bolt to the welded nut.. would not go in very far
Drilled some holes here to get to the welded in nut.

I don't know if I would trust any fix on that to be honest.
The only thing I would suggest, and again I don't know if I would trust it, would be to go to the junk yard and cut that entire section out of a vehicle. Take a bunch of measurements before hand then transfer the measurements to your vehicle and weld it all up.
It should hold if it is welded properly. I know I wouldn't trust my welding skills to do the job.
