finally !!! upright again
some of you may be old enough to remember my cab has been laying on its back since 6/2013... two years with little or no progress... change of body men and progress made... patch panels added, lower fenders attached and glassed in, Monstaliner bed liner slathered on the cab bottom, new cross brace fabbed and installed (I didn't even know it had one !) and the firewall all slick and pretty...
Wednesday nite we finally rolled her back upright to finish up the doors and the cab back... I'm smilin... I'm seeing paint before Christmas I hope
later

Looking good John, interesting that you mentioned the cab brace. It has been my experience that the slant cabs did not have this brace...it was only on the 56 model. I am sure that someone else will chime in on this topic but what I did was very similar to your cab. I have braces fabricated at Direct Sheetmetal and install them on all cabs that I work on that do not have one.
Keep up the good work!

thanks yall.... yes it's getting interesting/exciting again... finally got a body man that wants to work... actually he's the guy that I started with... He's close to retirement now and he wants to work more than me ! not much body work left and a little more primer/blocking.
Talked to my painter a couple of weeks ago and got an idea on cost... Think I'm gonna have to go back to work a few months to pay for the job I want on the truck... so I have to assemble it one more time and get everything tight and lined up correctly... I forgot to mark the rear fender holes on the last assembly so have to do all that again... then blow it apart again for paint in pieces... as Dory said... just keep swimmin... just keep swimmin...
