Hi all, I have a 272 with I believe to be a cruisomatic tranny that I'd like to put in a 55 F100. The bell housing on the 272 is a PBD7976-A. The 55 had a 223 in it,so I have the crossmember for the yblock. What I'm trying to figure out is will the bellhousing bolt in the frame? It looks like it would be close.

Yes the bell will bolt to the same place as the stick shift bell, but the v-8 55 used an additional cross member for the front mount as the v8 is shorter than the 6 cyl

 

Thanks Kevin! I have the front cross member and will be putting that in. I was just wondering about the bell. I'll be working on this right away then.
