I like the expired dealership service DVDs. Just use a program like
RUNASDATE to deal with the date issue. That way your not having
to reset the computer date to use the DVDs. Here is a link to download it
BTW it's FREE. Don't get it from Cnet. They pack a lot of extra ad-ware in the download.
When you download from the programer it comes out clean.

If you can find the right DVD for the year you
want that would be the way I would go. I have a file
given to me by Creator that shows you how to make it
so you can copy the data from the DVD and put it on
the hard drive. Makes things really nice if you don't
have to swap in and out when you change years.
BTW this is the Ebay seller I use for the DVDs 5hunter

You went to more work then is needed.
You only need the TSO directory.
Then the edit to the tsobrowser ini file
Here is the edit info for the INI file
; volume types
; 0 - unkown
; 1 - fixed disk locations (with directory)
; 2 - unc share locations
; 3 - removeable media
; each installed volume has an entry in this section
; the name of the entry is the logical volume (like 92CAR)
; and tilda-separated values on the right are:
;
; version - a number/letter string,
; less than 8 characters, NO periods, trust me
; type - as described in the list above
; path - the physical path to the location where the volume.ini file resides
; the browser will use that instead of checking volume labels (since
; it is quite problematic with UNCs)
; home - the name of the home file which is used for that volume
; title - The title of the volume (human readable, it is used to tell one
; volume from another in the selector list).

it in the oven and not the pie.
But really I do like cooking. I don't use the science method. More along the art
lines. Bit of this, a splash of that and a OOPS I dumped the box in But you
like cayenne pepper in your chocolate pudding.
Speaking of puddings looks like I am going to be eating soft things. Broke
a molar today. Hard to keep the tongue away from it. Dam,dam, dam! Sharp.

I use one of the expired DVD's also and the Run As Date program. The only difference is, I made an ISO copy of the DVD and use the program to "mount" this ISO in an imaginary DVD drive. All I has to do is modify the tsobrowser ini file to point to this imaginary DVD drive once the Service DVD is installed.

I get to play with a new DVD to add to the group. I have been having to guess
on the 2005 stuff to some extant and now have the 04~05 disk to cover
the F-150 ~F-350 and the Ex.
