Just dropped my new oil filter in my drain pan

Dropped my new oil filter in my freshly drained oil. When i tried to grab it it fell over and sank. I drained it out but will it be ok to use?

With a new filter being 10 bucks at Walmart, I personally would not use the dropped one.

You should be OK as long as your collection bucket/pan was not saturated with dirt or other debris. If the used oil container was contaminated in anyway, you may want to wait and get a new one.

OH yeah? Well I just got a $42.50 parking ticket from a meter man who drives around in a 3-wheeler with a light bar waiting for meters to expire.

I wouldn't use it. Whatever went into the filter will be immediately sucked into the system.. Un filtered.
