New to me 1988 Bronco

Hi everyone,
I've been a member here for a long time and am usually in other forum groups but I just made a new purchase and wanted to ask a few questions.

What I bought was a 1988 full size bronco custom with the inline 6 and the t-18 four speed with manual transfer case. I bought it from a friends parents that have owned it since 1989 and 15,000 miles. It is in good shape, with a little of the normal rust for this generation of truck. It needs some TLC but should be a fairly simple, fun project for my son and I in my opinion.

Here are the few questions I have for starters.
Differential fluids 80w90?
Transmission fluid 80w90?
Engine oil 10w30?
power steering fluid - mercon type F?
Transfer case Mercon?

It has a very soft and non responsive brake pedal that I will start with a good bleeding, but am wondering if there is a common place of failure for the system.

I plan on all new fluids, filters and a good tune up for starters then get into more mechanical things.

Thanks for any input you can give and I am looking forward to getting started in a new forum on FTE!

Also, I'm thinking I need new clutch pedal bushings because when I depress the clutch all the way, the brake pedal moves a little bit with it. Any info on that is also appreciated.

Sorry for the slow response time. You are on the right track with the fluids. Brake boosters are known to fail at the seal in these trucks. Have a listen to the booster. A leaking booster can yield the soft pedal symptom.
