Power windows & Vent Shades
First my truck is a 2011 F150 4x2 SuperCrew XLT.
I just on the full set of Weather Tech (in the weatherstrip) vent shades/wind deflectors. The rear windows went right up and seated nicely. Now both front windows kept rolling back down about 3/4 the way after going to a full closed position.
I've looked all over, and the windows are NOT hitting the plastic shade at all. But it acts like there is an obstruction, and the window modors don't like it Has anybody else been through this, is there an adjustment that can be done, or do I need to get the stick on paint type vent shade

I did buy these used, they are in new condition, and no paperwork, but I also paid half of what they cost new.
Makes me wonder that they don't really look used, makes me wonder if they were a problem for the previous owner, and he passed that problem on to me.

You have the safety feature built in, which prevents kids from getting their fingers stuck in a rolled up window. I dont know if you can disable the feature...but know most people use the stick on shades (which I don't care for). I keep looking for a way to disable but there doesn't appear to be one.

In channels
I have been using in channel (can’t stand looks of tape on) in my 2013 F150 XLT. For a few days it is recommended to keep windows closed. Had some initial memory problems and had to slowly close window last 1 or 2”. Eventually the inchannels seated properly and for the last year or so have had no problems fully closing all windows. Bought from Auto Anything, but don’t remember brand.

it's good to know there's hope, I prefer the in channel look but mine also have issue with the auto mode on the windows. I've had them on for a little over a week and have read and tried all the reset methods but still have problems.
I was going to take them out but this gives me hope....I'll hang in for a bit longer to see if mine will seat or whatever

I have the AVS in channel vent window shades. Some times they work, but most of the time the window auto retracts back down. I did follow the installation instructions.
Rear windows seem to work OK, but the front ones are a pain (F-150 SuperCrew). You can just manually advance it by a 1/4" at a time for the last two inches to get it closed.
I will try the reset procedure posted in the above video. Hope it works.

I tried the reset procedure in the above video and so far it has seemed to work. I have tried the front windows about 7 times today with no problem of automatically rolling back down. It was raining yesterday so I waited until today to give it a try. My total time of not using the windows after the reset procedure was over 60 hours instead of the indicated 48 hours. Also I used 3 seconds instead of the suggested 2 seconds. Who knows, tomorrow they may start rolling back down, but so far so good.
Also, I would not recommend the AVS autovent visor shades. The plastic clips that you insert into the channel to push out the edges of the visors seem to be pulled down inside the door in about a weeks time. The company customer service has been very good in sending additional clips, but they also have been pulled down by the window when lowered over a weeks time. I made sure the clips were completely recessed into the window channel area, but still are pulled down into the insides of the front and rear doors.
I would suggest using the reset procedure in the video since you don't have anything to lose. If anyone else has used the reset procedure, please post your results.
