99 e350 7.3 turbo dual battery recomndations?

well my new battery is fried already and im looking for advice. see the last owner inherited his fathers truck and replaced the under the hood battery but never touched the frame rail battery. so now the new Walmart battery is shot.

im debating a couple optima yellow top's or using my AAA service to have both replaced. it is a 7.3 turbo power stroke and im wanting to put in a custom stereo in it with a amp. that's why im considering the hard core optma yellow tops. they don't list custom batteries for it so id need to get a universal set but not sure which part number to look for. I figured a top and side post on same battery would be helpful for future upgrades too. but the optima is almost vibration proof which would be good for a 7.3 turbo I think.

or I could save my self a lot time and head ach and have my aaa club install 2 of there branded batteries and save me laying on my back installing the frame one. im permantly disabled and have a permanent 5 pound lifting restriction. I can push it to 15 roughly but only a couple minutes and causes me tremendous pain.

Thanks in Advance, Alice

You ALWAYS replace both batteries on a PSD...If you replace only one the bad one fries the good one as they are connected in parallel...I am on my 5 th set now and In my experience Motorcraft is pretty hard to beat.....I tried all the others and this last set is OEM ...I also get trade price ....

I've had good results with Interstate. I recently replaced the batteries on my PSD with a pair of Die Hard Platinum's and are supposed to be great. They are basically re branded Odysseys, which have a reputation of being some of the best batteries out there. The only downfall is the price, $250/apiece retail.

I don't mind paying for a good battery, just going to take me longer to get, LOL. but im considering the deep cycle yellow tops since I am putting in a powerful 900w stereo system. and the optima yellows seam to go for about $299.99 each
