Also ...
Put your complete vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature. *Eliminates playing 20 questions when/if a post is made pertaining to your vehicle.
» Edit Signature « *Don't forget to [ save ] it.
As for oil ... 5W30 any quality brand will do. And for oil filter (FL-1A), ONLY USE Motorcraft -or- WIX, and NAPA GOLD | SLIVER (which are made by WIX)

A fuels are unleaded now. 87 octane or regular gas should be good.
If you don't have one you should find an owners manual for your truck.

1990 ford f150
Its a 2 wheel drive truck its a automatic not a manual i dont think it has had any modifications
it has 35000 miles on the truck but i heard the people who owned it before me had put a new transmission in it dont really know exactly what so 35000 new miles on the truck other than that i dont know about the miles on it they could have put a different engine in it for all i know it doesn't look like a truck with 35000 miles on it its old and has rust in places i dont know the history of the truck like i should

I also wondered quite a few years ago if say 5w30 could be used consistantly (even 10/30)
I was always told 5w20 was spec'd due to the tighter tolerances of these newer engines ....
So I stuck with the spec's until recently then I changed to 5w30 on my higher mileage 2013...
Mr Lube that does my service immediately slashed across my invoice " No Warranty "....
However not to be fooled my ++ over 300,000 km truck warranty ceased to exist a few years ago & seems to run just fine on 5000km oil changes...

I have a few quarts 5w20, but I run 5w30 in my 5.4 3v, my 4,6 3v, and my 2 4.6 2valve motors.
The 5w20 76 Synthetic Blend that I have is some left over from my pre retirement career use in a assigned Crown Vic PI, and even the Dept. switched over to 5w30 after Ford sent a letter out advising it. I just use it as bar oil, etc.
In my '77, I'll use up some 10w30 and 20w50 I have from long long ago. I bet it'll like that Delo 400 15w40 too. I'll also use the Delo in my Wheel Horse. I bought it when I had two Gold Wings, great shifting there as the trans use same lube as engine.
