Roller Cam in 302
I've searched high and low on search and all over the internet. I've got a roller 302 out of at 98 explorer with gt40p heads edelbrock performer rpm and 600 carb. I have seen some guys here running explorer cam and mustang HO cams. Is anyone else running any beefier cams. I already have beehive springs and just looking for a little better cam instead of the stocker. It is auto c6 and most call for a higher stall. If anyone is running a hotter cam, what stall are you running? Truck is going in a 76 F100 2wd swb. Thanks in advance.

The Explorer cam is going to give you the best performance in that application (C6 in a comparatively heavy truck) Especially considering the rear gear ratio and tire diameter you've likely got now. The Explorer cam specs out like this: 256/266 advertised duration (not the @.050 spec) lift is .422/.445(int/exh) LSA is 116*. This cam gives you the best bottomend to midrange to get that truck moving off the line. A set of 1.7 full roller pedestal rockers will give it another 10-15 hp and get the lift specs up to the what the HO cam had with 1.6's. More cam will move the powerband up, leaving you with a weaker bottomend, which will hurt the streetability off the line.
