'88 e250, which shocks?

Hello,
I am looking at my options on shock replacements for my '88 e250. The van is used as a multipurpose vehicle. DD, tow vehicle, road trip, cargo hauler.

I am looking for something with a pleasant passenger ride that is tough enough for when I hook up a 6-9k pound trailer or load 3k pounds in the van. I am looking at the following:

1. Gabriel LTV
2. KYB Gas-a-just
3. Bilstein 4600

I also thought the Gabriel HiJackers looked interesting. They are made so you can add air to them to allow you haul heavy for a while, though it says it is only for temporary hauling use.

The Bilstein's have a good reputation but are also much higher priced. Thanks

Bilsteins have gotten great reviews. I will spend the extra $ for them next time around. I have no idea about the others, but keep in mind how heavy the front end of our trucks are, occasional extra weight in the back is no big deal.

i bought and installed Bilstein HD shocks on my E250 and Bilstein HD shocks on my Jetta.

I'll never go with anything else.

Here's the cheapest I could find for my van: eshocks.com: Shocks and Struts: E33, E200, E250, E300, E350, E450 Motorhome

I got the Gabriels from Autozone, guaranteed for life, 25$ each. just did front ones, Very happy with them on my '91 Club Wagon. Smooth ride, and they hold the van on the road really well.
