Nope, 2001. Was in there when I bought the truck a couple years ago. Never gave me any trouble so I just ran with it.

And fwiw, I have a small amp powering a 10" sub behind my seat if that makes a difference on a new one.

That is remarkable. It "never gave you any trouble", did you ever give it any attention though? Cleaning battery terminals, boost charge, soothing music? Lemmee guess. Nuthin'.

14 years is about the limit for an auto start battery, vibration will do them in a lot of times. Supposedly stationary lead-acid batts can last up to 20 years.

Likely you will be shocked to see the prices of batteries since you've last bought one.

I last bought one 8 years ago and it was for a different vehicle. I guess I got lucky.

Automotive battery production is shifting to China (you know that country that steals all our proprietary, design, government, and personal information)

Johnson Controls just opened a huge plant and they're pumping out batteries for most retailers such as Interstate, Adv Auto, AutoZone, Walmart, etc ----same internals, different labeling).....

........lifespan of these batteries is heavily correlated with where you live ----the deeper south in the US, the shorter the expected lifespan of these batteries.........
