I have been working on my project, it has a fresh rebuilt c6 trans heavy duty for towing. it also has a rebuilt 460 with about 18,000 miles on it. The problem I cannot figure out is an oil leak from what appears to be the filter itself. just this morning the truck sat and idled for 45 minutes with occasional revving of the engine = no leaks. I go for a drive (approximate 3 miles) and pull into my driveway leaving a stream of oil and a puddle as it sits and cools off? It is driving me crazy! there appears to be no leaks from the oil filter adapter the only leak I can see from the top or bottom appears to be the filter? I am using napa gold filters after switching from the silverline brand? I am desperate for answers... thanks

welcome to FTE
check to make sure there is only one gasket on the filter.
sometimes when removing the old filter the gasket will stick to the block, and you will not notice it. until it starts leaking.

turns out the left motor mount was weak enough to allow the oil filter to rub enough to cause a small hole to leak oil lol glad I caught it.
