centurion-keep or toss?

Brand new to the forum, bought a 1997 Ford F-350 Diesel crew cab truck last week, it has a centurion package on it. I sort of see it has a bucnh of plastic slapped on the truck, it also comes with a flat rear bumper, of which I have no clue what the hitch capacity is. Anyway, my son says keep it dad, nothing else like it is around. I was even given a fairibg that goes on back of the cab that needs repair, I start to think, take it all off, then think, no, its unique looking, what would you do? Thanks for any advice!Pat

keep what you like and toss what you guys don't like (well maybe consider putting up in the "free parts" thread(s) for others who may need said parts. ultimatly its your truck so its up to you to decide what will make you happy, I had an XLT F150 but had installed aftermarket (mark III) kit in it but only did the wood trim (see build thread, forget the page its on but its near the start of the thread) for the XLT pieces as thats mainly what I wanted from it (still have the other pieces to the truck so I may put those up in the free parts area as well once I find them.

so just do what you and your son like...

Disregard the hitch capacity of any bumper. If you want to get a hitch, get a frame hitch.

What specific parts are custom? As said, some might be sought after in the Classifieds, some might bomb. Centurion didn't have "a package", they did all sorts of custom/conversion jobs. Some included some tasteful interior appointments, some included some real hack jobs wrt. the bodywork.

I guess some guys still buy those cab fairings, but IMHO they were a little hokey in their day, and their day was a long time ago. Any time I see one nowadays, I look for a mullet behind the wheel.....
