Question Metal Plate Under Dash

This plate was located below the dash, midway, on the floor of a 1967 Econoline van. Can anyone decode this for me?

It's called a buck plate. It contains notes for the assembly line worker to get the right options on the van.

11-249 means the 249th vehicle built on the 11th day of the month. Need the VIN to figure the month. Is your van E14FHB13856? If so, then the 11th day of April 1967.

80442 is a special order paint code. Your van did not have a regular paint color. My guess is some kind of green.

14-2 14 is a short cargo van. 2 is deluxe interior.

G-1 is the glass configuration. i am guessing that you have windows just on the right side?

1-TON means this is the heavy duty 1-ton payload van. Thicker frame, stiffer springs, big rear axle.

DISP is a display van with windows just on the right side. Please confirm.

CIGAR means the optional cigar lighter in the dash.

SP-Z padded dash and padded glove box door.

FLIP-ST is the optional flip-type passenger seat that flips forward so you can get into the back of the van.

170-T CH This is something about the 170 cui engine. I do not know what CH means, but since it is in a heavy duty van, it might be something special.

2-SALEM R-VENTS 1-MTD CARGO & 1 MTD DRIVERS COMPT. This appears to be two roof vents, one in front and one in the rear. Can you confirm this?

170 The engine size?

62-0301 62 is the regional sales district. 62 is the Houston district. 0301 was the special order number.

Can you tell if the outside paint color was green? Might have been a utility company truck, or a Sears repair truck.

It is odd to see a 1967 heavy duty with a 170 engine, Usually it would be the 240 engine. This truck was designed to haul heavy loads around town. Not suitable for driving over 50 MPH.

Thanks for sharing the data.

Thank you for responding to my post. I really appreciate it. The van was an army green color, and it only has windows on the right side.

I am curious about the vents. Are there any? Extra vent on the side of the van in the back? OR on the roof?

Yes, you were correct about the roof vents, also.

I'd love to see pics. I have never seen factory roof vents, but since this was a special order, anything is possible.

Thanks ronram64. I have never seen those, but since it is on the tag, it must have been an official Ford option.
