Wow!! Certainly came out looking mitty fine!!. Curious if you repaired or replaced the steering wheel.
Based on the rest of the truck, I'm willing to bet it was a quick fix. You can see two spots on the steering wheel where the color has already worn off. He didn't do this to do it right, he did this to flip and make as much money as possible. Or in his words "I know everyone says you can't make $ restoring these, but I stand to turn a small profit when it sells." It's not restored!!! It's full of Band-Aids!!!
By doing shortcuts and deceiving the eyes of potential buyers, he stands right up there with the used car salesman lying through his teeth.
His title on his other thread sums it up however it should read "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig."
Sorry if it hurts, (actually I'm not) I stand behind what I say.
I hope whoever looks at buying this, looks beyond the lipstick.
I agree with Gangstakr here. That job looks like a quicky touch n run designed mainly to fool an ignorant would-be buyer who has more money than brains. The whole project should insult anyone who truly appreciates these trucks and takes the time and pains to restore and/or modify them correctly. Why the kid didn't even take the time to replace the clutch pedal return spring nor fix the stinkin horn.
People in this hobby just to make a quick buck make me ill...

Boy, it never ceases to amaze me how many people care what others do with their time and money. It's not your damn truck or your damn money. Some of us don't feel like wasting our hard-earned cash on full restorations and are good with making a little to keep the wife happy and having an old car or truck around for awhile.
He's not asking for your cash, so just keep your damn pathetic opinion to yourself. Geez.

Wow, and from under which porch do you come from? If you don't know the story keep your opinion to yourself. Obviously with 2 posts in the forum you know nothing about the OP's truck nor his intentions. If all you can do is scurry out and then back under the porch, your comment is not needed.
That whole thing is a disaster. I have never before seen anything as hokey as that painted horn button, and I have seen a lot of hokey. The word "restoration" shouldn't be uttered within a mile of that abortion.
