Just re-read your posts,
One question, have you checked the timing?
You should have the spout connector with this, and follow specs to the timing with the spout removed.
Had a similar problem with a re-man 5.8, and about 2 months after all the parts change out, it started running rough on acceleration, scratching head one day, and I hooked up the timing light, and checked the timing, and it was retarded really bad, re-set to specs, and it perked up and has been running fine since.
