Angry locating map sensor 86 f150

anyone know where the map sensor is on a 86 f150 5.0 or 302

efi.

heard it's on the firewall but there is nothing close to it there.

talked to at least 10 ford dealers

been told every thing from air cleaner to firewall to right side on block, also there isn't one on this truck.

please email me at myddad(No Email Addresses In Posts!).

locating map sensor 86 f150

It should be on the passenger side inner fender, near the battery. Look for a vacuum line and three wires coming out of it.

Great pic steve, lots of good info. What exactly are the TAB & TAD? I should look in my manuals...

map sensor for 84 f-150 4x4 w/ 300-6 is just to the rear of the starter solenoid...little black "box" about 3"x 2" with a plug in the bottom and about 4-6 wires on the plug...almost all of my wiring will be going BYE-BYE very soon, so i can simplify my truck...hate all the wiring/vaccume BS that comes on the 80's fords...
