fender flares

Just wanted to show off the new fender flares i put on the truck. Went with the lund rx314s flares and including getting them painted i still have less money in them then just a set of bushwacker flares.

Look good. How's the fit?

I love the look. Just wondered how snug they fit and if the paint under would get damaged.

WOW! those look GREAT! do those really screw into the fenders? I'm not sure but I believe the big bushwhackers do.

Looks great!

And no they usually do not screw into the fenders.the hardware is for looks. The fronts use the same hardware as the inner liners and the rears have clips.

The fit is great, nice and snug to the truck but i would still expect some minor paint damage over time just from the rubber seal rubbing. Quad is right factory screws on the front and clips on the rear.

I like those. I have some similar without the external fastener look. They have the rubber strip at the body, and there is no paint damage from the rubber. They have been on my truck for over 10 years.

Nice looking. If you don't mind how much did they set you back?
also did you do the work and have any photos. (Yep we love the photos).

I had a set of bushwhackers that eventually wore through the paint! It took nearly 300000km to do so and the truck was always rolling on swampers so lots of constact vibration against the paint. I just put some whackers on my 06 and I put 3 coats of wax on the area before I installed them. Those lunds look good and if they are cheaper, great

Why not use some 3M tape under then at the contact points?
That could keep it from rubbing even if it's a bit of a bitch to
remove the stuff. I hard a heat gun and monofilament line does the trick.
