400 what cam?
#16
I chose it because it was almost an exact copy of the edelbrock cam, so it runs very well with my Edelbrock carb and intake. Also, I have a set of Aussie 2v quench heads that I plan on building and using to replace my open heads. This would give around 10.5:1, which is a little bit high, but the cam will take a bit off.
How's that cam working for you? I just picked up a 400 that has the same cam. Haven't ran the motor yet so kinda looking for first hand experience of how you like the cam.

I have flats that sit roughly .040" down in the hole. I could change Pistons but I don't want to.
The cam is great. I love it. Very good torque and horsepower. Even with my somewhat low compression ratio in the mid 8-9 range, it gets fairly decent fuel milage. It has a noticeable idle compared to stock, but there is not a lope. Just a nice booming.
