The only whistles I hear are the chicks whistling at me in my super duty.

 

It was hot when I bought my truck so I did a few weeks of driving with the windows up and AC on. Now that its cooler I here it between 1500 and 2000 before the wind noise drowns it out. I'm a bit **** so its bothering me. Truck only has 1,400 on the clock.

 

When I test drove a new ford originally, it had a whistle under the hood. It reminded me of a possible vacuum leak. I told the dealer about it. I didn't buy that truck. The F250 I did buy did not have this whistle. I have almost 9k miles on it and it runs good. And no whistle either.

 

its a very faint whistle. have to have the ear to hear it

 

Take it to your dealer (service) and complain about it. My ford service engineer updated me last week and described the status to be "still in engineering". For what its worth the 6.2's in the Raptors don't do it. Also, I've driven 10 6.2's from 2013 to 2016 and they all whistled. Hopefully there will be a fix. Absolutely love my 6.2 but hate the whistle!
