Oh well.

On April 24th of this year I ordered a super cab with 6.5 bed, 3.5 eco with max tow and an extended range fuel tank. I got the call on June 24th that Ford wasn't building my truck and I can get a $2,000 credit towards a new f-150 within a certain time frame. Really bummed out about it. I'm thinking that if you order a crew cab with a 5.5 bed that ford would be using the same frame that a super cab with a 6.5 bed would use. So why wouldn't they build my truck? Still waiting for a answer from my sales person, I went on the GMC website for about a half hour and I"ll be looking at what my local ford dealers have to offer, really no other choice in my opinion.

The dealership isn't going to know why any more than you. I'm thinking the $2k offer is coming from the dealership, not Ford but I could be wrong.

I just checked the stuff from ford, it's the extended range tank that got it kicked. If you can live with the short range see if they can re-order with that and from what I see today, you would be good. (Ford gives no promises though)

*Edit: The extended range tank is listed as a scheduling delay.. so maybe not why kicked, but it didn't help.

Is the lack of frames their fault? Of course. Wasn't their frame plant in Kentucky the one falling apart?

Still making Regular cabs

I ordered a Regular cab XLT back on November 03, 2014

I know they are still building them because I just got word it will be built early august.

Approx 9-10 months from order to delivery.

I have had a VIN for months now.

Nothing special, pretty basic XLT but with a 2.7

Trailer tow, backup camera and a few other goodies.

So any word they have stopped building 2015's especially Regular cabs is BS.

Its seems the RCSB 5.0's were few and far between.

Wow. We ordered ours around 3/28/2015. Picked it up the first week of June. Basically 8 weeks order to delivery.

Regular cab trucks all come from Kansas City if I'm not mistaken. They didn't even begin production in KC until mid March.

You are 100% Mistaken!

Both of my Regular Cab trucks were built in Dearborn.

Dearborn built far far more RC than KC did

Our order was canceled also. We were told they've stopped production on the 8' beds and our order for the 2015 did not make the cut, so our order will be for a 2016... I hear they are upgrading the infotainment system from MyFordTouch to SYNC3, and adding something called Pro Trailer Backuo Assist.
2016 Order Bank opens; Aug 17 with first production @ Dearborn-Oct 12, and Kansas City Nov 9.

Building and accepting orders are different statements. They'll keep building the orders they can, but they know it's a shortage so they aren't taking more orders for some builds, and some orders that were accepted are likely to be cut off. It's called "balance out" meaning they balance out the outstanding orders with stock units to make the lines run efficiently.

Most recent bulletin from Ford shows 8-10 weeks order to del, or 14-16 if you get the extended range tank or one of the tonneau covers. No change to the list of balanced out units, including ALL RC models.

We ordered ours March 28 2015, and it arrived on May 31 2015. Just slightly over 8 weeks.
