Fan Clutch pulses when cold
2002 F150 SCrew 4x4, 254k miles. Several tens of thousands of miles ago, my fan clutch started pulsing when col at idle. If you start it up and let it idle, the fan will engage for a few seconds, and then disengage for a few seconds. You can hear it. After a certain temp it will stop doing it.
The engine temps in stop and go traffic are generally 198-208 unloaded. Usually not above 205 since thats when the fan kicks in.
Does this sound abnormal or should I just not worry about it?
