hi I was wonder what would I be getting into swapping them. Have major problems with 460 so wanna diesel. Current is auto 4x4, friend is wanting to trade my motor and tranny for his. will the transfer case bolt up to the diesel tranny. His is a 7.3 idi zf5, and I have a zf5 gas with tansfer case I was going to put into mine. And what am I looking at gettin to. Radiator fuel pumps, drive shaft?

since both trucks are already 4 wheel drive 5 speeds, you will not have to swap drive shafts, but i would . the easiest way to do it would be to park the two trucks side by side and swap parts.
you will have to swap engine, trans, electrical system, fuel system, radiators, and preferably radiator supports also. the diesel rad support and radiator is larger than the gas units.
you will need a diesel trans, the gas transmission has a different bell housing bolt pattern than the gas trans.
the transfer case is the same though.
