Cab Swap Question

I found a rust free 2005 crew cab but it is from an automatic, I have a zf-6. Does anyone know if the cabs are the same in relation to tunnel height? My ZF-6 seems taller but I could not compare it at the time.

I'd steer clear of the 6.4.

6.0 doesn't scare me nor does the 6.7....but the 6.4....

One mans opinion though.

I've looked at so much over priced junk the last couple of weeks. I've decided to by the cab and bed and re power with a 24 valve p pump Cummins. I have had all the parts to do an 08 nose clip swap so I'm doing that at the same time.

Green with envy over here.

is the front suspension any good on the truck you are getting the cab from? A little tighter turning radius would be the cats meow.

I never thought about that. Is that an easy swap? I have x codes with bds leveling leaf now. Rides a tad rough.

Ford did it right in the 2008 F350.. I had no idea I was driving a one ton truck. I found a guy on cl selling both axles out of a 06. I'll call him later today.

I found a donor front half of frame complete for 600 bucks. I need to find out whether my DC-2's will fit....I'm running 16x10 now.

The cab is Vermillion Red and I found a new take off bed the same color. The cab may have faded some but that doesn't matter to me now. Painting is wicked expensive.

All I need to do is paint my doors and front clip. I can do that myself, I hope!

You would have to have a complete frame to do this front suspension. The front axle is wider than my 99 and the brakes are larger. Not saying anything is wrong with that but that swap, by my estimation, would be over 3K by the time its said and done. I cant afford that right now.
