Anyone driven a 5.0 and 3.5 back to back?

Most of what you post is an opinion Nassty. Pretending that you know that most EB drivers use regular is a great example. Your problem is that you don't know the difference from facts and opinions and don't really care.

I think the trucks are very comparable and was just pointing out why I made the decision that I did. I am sorry that you don't consider long-term reliability an issue. I do.

Perhaps, but not all hills are the same. We have "hills" and we have "HILLS". Some of them it's fine going into 6th because they level off w/o many curves afterwards. Some are seriously steep going down the other side, or go directly into S curves or some such. The truck/transmission can't know that, and it's why I'm happy being able to select what's appropriate by doing what the truck can't do; look down the road.

And this statement has WHAT to do with test driving the engines back to back?
Contribute something sensible or not at all.
Hopefully that makes my point that much of what is contributed may be legitimate spin offs of the main point. The reason I sighted for my purchase may not be one that the ecoboosters wish to hear, but it is truthful and fair.

Like I said Nassty you don't know what facts look like. You believe what you want to believe and use opinions to prove your opinions are right. You are just angry because you know I am right, so you resort to name-calling.

engine choice
I chose the 5.0 mainly because I Loved the performance of my wife's 2014 Gt mustang conv It got 26.7 mpg on our annual trip from Florida to upstate NY and has power to spare for passing hill's etc It's a rocket on wheel's So far on the new Platinum with the 5.0 I,m averaging 18.2 mpg and it has all the power any one would ever need . I drove an eco 3.5 and I really can't say I saw a any big advantage over the 5.0 My choice and I am more than happy

What are you talking about? The ecoboost produces so much torque at such a lower RPM and saves so much gas using turbos. You just don't know the "facts".
