Mystery connector

I'm trying to figure out what this mystery pigtail is. Is it a brake controller connection? I'm not talking about the blue, white & black wires coming out of the boot, I'm talking about the plastic thing that is a wire connector.

No that is not the brake controller plug, if I remember correctly I "think" it is for the door chime (little noisy dinger everyone hates so much).. If yours works then I am wrong....

We'll find out for sure in a little while when the masses tell me I am wrong!!!

The module just plugs in, your best bet on finding one (if yours is gone) will most likely be a salvage yard,,, those modules are pretty generic but I would try to find one from a truck the same year (or as close as possible) as yours. I have read where some have used one from a Lincoln for the different tone, so they can't be too dedicated to one year or model..

I've thrown out several of those beeper modules over the years. Didn't think anyone wanted them, I frequently leave drivers door open to listen to radio and they would drive me crazy.

I'm pretty sure it's the door chime. I unplug mine during hunting season as I can "sometimes" forget to close the door when I'm in a hurry to get out
I'm not close to my truck right now so can't look at the moment.
