rocker arm
Hi I have a 1992 f.150 with the 302. We recently installed a brand new engine block that has a knock in the top end. I suspected rocker arms or lifters. Removed intake manifold and valve pan and rockers seemed tight. If i proceed and take off the intake, what exactly do I look for when looking for a noisy lifter? If I have to re-install the rocker or rockers during the job on the 1992 stock 302 do i have adjust or just torque them down tight? Appeciate any help thanks.

Yeah thats the down side of it. My brother installed it two or three years ago and ended up buying another truck after the job. Suspected a wrist pin knock but never had time to bother with it. The truck was than layed up. I just got it out again and exhausts done over on it so i can actually hear the engine and it definatley had a knock. Pulled plug wires one by one but no change.
