how i modified my banks turbo intake.
for those interested in getting rid of the giant air box, this is what i did with mine. i started by removing the box from the truck and took it to a friends machine shop. we did some measuring and marking, and cut most of the box off with the band saw, then cleaned up what was left with a milling machine.
what i ended up with was less than 1/4 of the giant engine covering air box.
i then got some aluminum tubing and tig welded the CDR mount to the intake tube, and finished it off with a 6637 filter. in the pictures i only have the cone filter i used for testing the system, i did not add the 6637 until a few weeks later.
