This is just a warning for anyone who considers buying a rebuilt pump from shiftritetransmissions shown below:

I have received this pump rebuilt incorrectly TWICE!!! The first housing could not be used due to rust in the TCC Valve bore and the bushing was installed incorrectly (drain notch not lined up with the drain hole). The second time I sent the seller step by step instructions on how to rebuild the pump and install the bushing. I received the second pump and AGAIN the bushing was installed incorrectly. This time the drain notch was facing the back of the pump and the lubrication notch was facing the front. At least the second housing is rust free and I can re-rebuild it myself the correct way.

Buy from this seller at your own risk. Based on the quality of this rebuild, I would venture to say most of their other rebuilds are incorrect as well.

 

UPDATE:
The seller fully refunded my money. I think through this whole ordeal we both learned a lot more about how to properly rebuild this pump. I feel slightly bad for him because the ATSG manual is actually wrong. It doesn't even show the lubrication groove or proper orientation.

Overall, I think this seller will rebuild these pumps properly in the future based on this experience.
