Expedition Lift Question

Expedition Lift Question
Hello everyone.
I am a bit confused since I changed from a Landy to an Expy. 98 XLT. So lifting this truck is a bit different than my previous vehicle.
I am contemplating to lift the vehicle but unsure as to how to go. I hear many different ways. So I'll lay out the way I was planning to go.
I was going to get a 3in body lift kit from Performance accessories.
Putting that I was going to replace my shocks with Rancho shocks:
RS7112(RS7000MT) for rear and RS5237 (RS5000) for the front. They are rated for lifted vehicles (meaning they stretch out ? )
I also heard people just max out their torsion keys and add spacers to their springs in the rear, but I dont want to run into balljoint and axle problems in the front.
Ultimate goal, is to put on 305/70/R16s.
Any help is appreciated, I just don't want to put money into the wrong parts.
Thanks!
