Opinions please - think it'll burnout?
Recently purchased a '71 F250 CS 2WD. 390 was supposedly "rebuilt." Dad and I got the timing lined out and adjusted the carb. Had a little bit too much fun one night and threw a rod blowing a hole the size of a 50 cent piece in the block. I'll post pictures later. It's slightly impressive.
New 390 that's almost finished will have the following:
Fully balanced
Bored .030
9.5:1 pistons
C8AE-H rebuilt heads
Performer RPM
Carter 750 carb
Mild cam - .510/.510 .050 214
Doug's headers (D603)
2.5" true dual exhaust (undecided on mufflers)
Performance Distributor (DUI)
Rebuilt C6 (tightened up & shift kit)
TCI Torque Converter (just over stock)
Tires are 265's I believe and it has a 3.73 rear end.
Think it'll be able to do a burnout?
I'm afraid I'll get this thing going and it's gonna be a dog for some reason. My dad is telling me otherwise.
I'm a born and raised GM kid that loves old Ford's. I don't know much about Ford engines. Thanks guys!

I mean mine isnt the fastest thing on the road, but it does 0-60 in 7. And it pulls all the way up to,,,,,, well,,,,, I don't know how far it will go! I run out of ***** at 100MPH! And I've only got a mild 351...
Limited slip differential and 10.5" tires grip the road real good, but it's easy to get it sideways.
