Interesting auction

Just came across this auction for next weekend, looks like a lot of good stuff. Too bad it is so far away. New Page 1

You think that is good? You should see my brother when he throws something. I reckon he can bounce river stones off satellites

Being the nice person that I am-- If you'd send me CASH- I'll buy any or all vehicles for you. Got an idea there's gonna be some big spenders there though! LOL

A quick glance through what is shown does not show me anything I would drive very far to bid on. Looks like a bunch of parts vehicles. Or else I didn't see everything.

An interesting collection, the guy must have really liked Mustang II's - not my favorite Fords. If I was only 19 miles away I would go just out of curiosity, but nothing jumps out at me from the descriptions or pictures.

I've been to a few auctions like that. Both motorcycles and cars. The common thread is the prices get bid up into the ridiculous. If there is any kind of crowd, it is very likely everything will go for about twice what it's worth.

If the weather stays good, I may just go to it to see what happens. There doesn't seem that there's much for me besides a few pictures,

The 1948 Ford Super Deluxe 2 door convertible Columbia 2 speed rear end looks great. I'd love to have it but it is obviously the star of the show. Probably go for big money. The '57 500 Fair Lane looks restorable but the Skyliner retractable hard top looks pretty far gone. I used to have a '59. A couple of the trucks are interesting if they aren't too far gone. And the 'Cuda looks good too.

Thanks for posting that link acudanut. I'm glad that I don't live closer.

'59 Skyliner is a mess. Too bad.

It'll be interesting to see how many people actually show up at the auction today. We got better than a half an inch of rain last nite and it's dreary this morning and temp in the mid 50's. I wanna go just to see who shows up!
