Help me diagnose a tranny issue. 96 7.3 4x4 e4od

So I got some more info on the truck. Just drove it around in 2nd gear to get the tranny to warm up. My tranny works great untill about 150 degrees. Then it wont shift from 1st to 2nd unless i take my foot off the throttle then put it back on and it shifts harder, and sometimes wonders into the intermediate gear. I hooked it up to a scanner while driving and after. No codes came up. The only codes that came up , was when I originally brought it in to get the tranny looked at was a high tranny temp code but they erased it. Any suggestions? Could I maybe have a tranny temp sensor going out?

Also not sure if it matters but this is the second tranny in it, that i just had the valve body rebuilt. Theres also some wierd click'n noise coming from under or around my center seat area and it clicks every 2-4 seconds, that then goes away when the tranny starts shifting funny.

Talked to a couple of people and apparently the code reader I used isnt compliant with the modified OBD11 system on my truck. Ill reread the codes when my new compliant scanner comes in.

Lol noone ever experience these issues?

yeah, thats what I was afraid of, everyone seems to have the same kinda "its gonna die" feel about it. If I need a new one Ill go with a good aftermarket performance towing tranny. Any recomendations, Im in the 3-4k range.
