gauge cluster replacement

i just bought a 00 f250 cc that originally came out of Canada so the speedo and mileage is all in kilometers. i have bought a use cluster that is in standard units to replace it with. i am just curious if all i have to do is replace the cluster or if there is other thing that need to be replace as well to make it work right.

Do the gauges look the same? I believe in 01 they changed.

99-01 should look like this...

01-04 would look like this...

If it's the same cluster you should be fine. I will be pulling my hopefully this next week if you need some pics.

Please do let us know how things turn out though.

You won't be able to do it yourself. Try the dealership or this guy.

Idk you could put in the digital cluster to the older style, is it a simple plug and play?

No you can not use the digital (01-04) cluster with the older style (99-01) vice versa.

I went back and reread through it, I hope i'm not reading incorrectly and giving miss info.

My gauge cluster is the top pic showing that its for 99-01. The lower pic is 01-04. You can only use the same cluster in swap.

Was able to correct the milage on the new cluster after a few hours of playing with it. Have to remove the hole role of numbers and disassemble.

Ya, you have to be super careful in there as not to disturb any of the circuits. After you put the new gauge cluster in and start noticing problems as intermittent windows, radio, map light and glovebox light all together at the same time, you know the culprit.

The dealer can change the millage, You have to sign a wavier stating that what you say is correct and it stays with the dealer, they just burn the chip they need the cluster not the whole truck.
