78 351m Edelbrock carb linkage

The throttle linkage on the carb

The PO installed a 4 barrel Edelbrock carb on my 78 F150 351m, but when I got it the accelerator pedal and linkage was sitting in the floorboard. I got the pedal installed, and the linkage on the pedal arm, but where the linkage hooks to the carb looks like it is supposed to have a **** or stud to hook to. the arm has the female ball joint connection, but the carb doesn't. What do I need to get and where do I get it from? thanks

I'm guessing yours is a manual as I see no kick down linkage?

Ball studs available at any place Holley or Edelbrock parts are found.

Maybe this helps, I have a C-6 Auto so have kickdown too.

You will maybe use the ball stud in the small hole further inboad .... mine has extra linkage for auto kickdown.
Never mind the "ball chain", it's for my CC setup.

Hope it helps.

it actually is a C6 transmission. I bought the truck with a blown trans. and the PO took the trans out. So I have nothing to compare to as far as hooking stuff back up. where would I find that bracket for my kickdown lever?

tbear do you have a part number or something for the piece that bolts on? the outside piece that your throttle linkage and kickdown lever attach to?

Wow this is an old post that has been revived.

My original question on the black bracket bolted to carb hold down screw was never answered but life managed to continue without this information.....
