New house, new bed

We're in the process of looking another house. My oldest son popped the big question to his girlfriend a few weeks ago and they will be staying on the farm to continue the dairy operation.

Someone posted this picture on my wife's Facebook page and now she wants one for our future house. A Small window Monkey Face of course.

The only problem is finding a truck that I won't mind hacking up. I just remembered, Andy, my youngest son, is going to get a beater truck that's sitting behind his girlfriend's mom's barn for free. He just wants the engine out of it.

Your wife must be alright, Bob. She is a keeper!

Someone posted that on my Facebook page to, saying if my truck ever stops running that's what I can do with it.

I think she's up to something. She's never really appreciated my truck addiction and now this and one house we are looking at has a room off of the master bedroom she said we'd make into my truck room. After 27 years, I very suspicious, very suspicious.

I just sold a complete 1941 Buick Century nose to a guy who was going to make it into a bed for one of his grandkids, cool idea..

I am going to show that bed to my wife and ask if I can make one for us..if I dont get laughed out of the room I will let you know.

Wow Bob that's big news. Just be sure to find a place with a big enough garage for your full fleet.

Duane we may be coming to house closer to you, we'll find out by this Thursday. And yes, it does have storage for the fleet, and more.

Ross, in fact we might be moving farther north. Not by much though, maybe a mile or so.

We're working on financing. If that works out I'll be posting more information.

Not quite completely free of cows or chickens. My wife is a farm girl and would never be happy living in a sub-division. We're looking at property with the minimum required amount of land to be able to raise animals. Her plan is got go into raising beef with my son. He'll supply the animals and feed and we'll house and raise them. Beef animals are a lot easier to deal with than dairy animals. We'll also be bringing the chickens along. I think that's the reason she's open to the truck theme, she probably figures if she gets what she wants she could let me have some of what I want.

Make sure she doesn't want to add a small door and ramp to that bedroom - Sleeping with chickens ain't easy
