That's probably a good strategy. If I remember right, you have 3.55 gears, which means at 65 mph you're at less than 2000 rpm, which is not good for towing up a hill.

I guess you could also get a U.S. Gear, gear splitter or swap in a 10 speed transmission lol.

I thought he had 4.10?
I can't wait to swap over soon.
When above 17-1800 I'm good and she makes boost. As long as I'm 68 mph or over I can carry through anything I have encountered so far.
I need to weigh my box tho and see what it even weighs.

I wonder if on the jerking issue if that heavy tow isn't defueling up top on porpoise? Who's tunes again?

You might be right on the gears Aaron, but either way you need lots of rpms to pull big hills.

Your gargantuan turbo flows so much air, its no wonder you can pull through 1700-1800 rpms w/o issue.

How much boost are you seeing when it cuts out? This may be one of those situations where a boost fooler is needed, like andrew krause had to.

It has to be either fuel boiling ( not sure that can happen)
Or heat creating expansion and the pressure builds then the regulator bypasses a bit and pressure builds.
It's one or the other. I would put money on efuel helping your situation in general. I noticed several traits go away when I did my efuel.

I know we've been over this, but something is up with your boost numbers.

How fast is this beating heart fuel bowl cap?

Matches the idle speed. So like 1 beat per second. It raises about 1/4" each time.

I just talked to my chip programmer, he said there isnt a speed limiter on the heavy tow tune. So thats not the issue. I need to get a scanner for my truck. Ill probably get this one when I have money again. Snap on MT2500 Diagnostic Scanner 80s OBD1 to OBD2 2001 | eBay

Started tinkering with the truck a bit to find out a few things. Found, I do have a leak at the driver side plenum. It's of course under the turbine housing so I couldn't see it all those times. It also couldn't be in an easy spot to get to. Yayyy turbo removal. I also found a very dusty air filter. I blew the air filter out and hopefully that was my stuttering issue. Well see

Hate to burst your bubble, but a dirty air filter wouldnt cause a stutter.

Meh. Not worried. I'm way more angered at the turbo. I just spent the last 5 hrs taking the turbo out so I can get to the driver side plenum. Turbo seems nice and tight though.
