does the ignition switch connect right to the outer bezel? nothing inbetween?

Your engine and transmission combo sounds nice. I wish i had that. Looks like a very nice start!!! I like satin black over flat but either way it should look great!!

well looks like i may need new heads, pretty sure valve seals are gone

Switch is
11572 -
10A885 is the spacer between the switch and the backside of the dash -
11584 is the bezel -
11582 is the cylinder w/key.
The cylinder must be removed
first .. then the bezel can be removed by pressing on the backside of the spring loaded switch and pushing it forward.
Remove a battery cable for safety...before sticking your mitts behind the dash.

pre 65. I have a 64 just like it. No rag-joint (shaft goes into the gear box). ND will probably say it's 61-64 F100. do NOT take my word for it.
