weird turbo issue - at a loss...

2004 F350 6.0 230,000 miles. Had the turbo replaced a few weeks ago. On the way home truck started running weird...like stuck turbo vanes. couldn't figure out what was up. Found a crack in the line from MAP sensor to intake manifold. cut the bad part out of the line and truck ran great again. thought the problem was solved....200 miles later, truck starts doing the exact same thing. MAP sensor looks fine. I replaced it with the MAP sensor and hose from another truck thats running fine and tested - no change. I drove it back to my guy and on the way the truck felt like vanes were trying to open up again but just not working right. feels so much more like a sensor issue or whatever is controlling the turbo. just has a mind of its own. Any Ideas?

Sand Man, did they damage the VGT connector on the turbo? There's a good diesel guy right down 158 before you hit the bridge. I can get his name if you want.

vgt connector is already in crap shape really - I prob should have wired a new pigtail in long ago but it seems to be making contact but thats my next step...let you know. You talking about the guy at full compression? I've heard he's pretty good - haven't tried him yet.

yeah 10-4. There is also a guy up in Chesapeake. There's reliable options if you get stuck. I'm hard headed and like to do my own damages...errrrr repairs. I just replaced my ICP due to a nasty surge and bucking issue

Go roast some marsh mellows over in Manns Harbor at that big azz fire too!
