LOW THROTTLE STALL:1995 F-150 EFI 300ci 4.9L IL6 GAS
Hi my name is kevin,
I recently installed a rebuilt long block in my pickup.
Did most of the work myself and had very few issues before getting it fine tuned.
DRIVING PROBLEM:I just rolled over 8,000 miles on the new block and was driving down the road at freeway speeds and was coming to a light and clutched to start slowing down. Truck idled really low then stalled out. After about 200 more miles it got worse to where it stalls out if I do not let it rev down below idle before clutching.
IDLEING PROBLEM: after checking for vacuum leaks and basic testing I played with the throttle and found that if I pull the throttle "butterfly" about 1/16th-1/8th from the idle screw it will stall.
I'm at my wits end and its driving me crazy. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kevin
P.s. I have done the following:
Ran computer codes (reads EGR stuck open) closed it off and no change to issue. No more codes
Says Tps is running .65 closed and 4.65 open
Fuel pressure 57-63
Cleaned injectors
Timing at spec
No vacuum line leaks
Cleaned throttle body
No change from what I've done
