5R110 Transmission Fluid Change?

Hi guys, new member here. Truck is an 05 F250 6.0 (originally) but recently converted over to a cummins ... I know, I know sorry Ford guys.

Anyway, my brother did all of the work on the swap and he went with some wolfs head transmission fluid or something like that. I want to switch it back to the correct fluid which I believe would be the Ford Mercon LV?

Is this a simple warm the truck up until shes warm, drain the oil and drop the new fluid in?

I'm only asking because the last thing I want is to destroy this transmission. If you're wondering, I used the PCS transmission controller to tune the transmission. I think it will shift smoother once I change the fluid back to Ford.

Thanks!

and I suppose my next question would be to ask (using the drain method above if I can), how many quarts? I lost my owners manual and I have heard many different numbers.

either LV or SP will work in it, if you want to get all of the old stuff out it'll take doing a couple of changes for it to all cycle out

The 5r110w has a thermostat, the only way to properly exchange the fluid is a hot flush machine. Other wise a drain and fill is about half of what you need. May be a good time to upgrade to the 2008+ pan and filter as well.
