bent crank? seems impossible
OK 2007 f350 v10 6.8 10
Hydro locked while driving then puked coolant out exhaust. Still runs had random misfire but has pretty severe knock. Pretty good wobble in harmonic balancer so I pulled it to replace but turned motor over to make sure crank spun true and it's not. Haven't moved truck since towed to shop. Any opinions? I've never seen a broken crank on one of these just not sure where to start it's $3k to rebuild

It happened on my original engine and I wound up getting a Ford crate engine. The total for the exchange and replacement was $7500 which included 3 years warranty unlimited miles. This new engine does seem to be a little more snappy than the original. I would think that an individual would have rebuilt the long block vs a factory made engine that went into a regular production truck. That being said, I would expect the blue print specs to be closer on a rebuild, maybe why they give you a 3 year, no mileage restriction, warranty.
